District Council By-election, King’s Sutton, May 2017 – Conservative Candidate Statement

Gregor Hopkins, Conservative

I am your local Conservative Party candidate for the King’s Sutton By-election on South Northants District Council. The District Council is responsible for things like planning, the local environment and housing.

I live in King’s Sutton with my wife, Kate, and our baby daughter Rose. Over the last few months you may have seen me pounding the village pavements trying to get Rosie to sleep. We know that King’s Sutton is a great place to live, with its wonderful primary school and pre-school, lovely pubs and useful amenities, but everywhere has its share of problems and King’s Sutton isn’t immune to that.

I want to represent you on the council to ensure our voice is heard and the village continues to be a wonderful place to live and work for all of us.

My five priorities for our village are:

  1. Saving essential services at the Horton
  2. Respectful housing development but only with local support
  3. Upgrading the train station
  4. Wales Street flood defences
  5. Funding for the village pre-school

I want to represent you so please don’t hesitate to get in touch if there is anything you’d like me to raise with the powers that be, be they at the district, county or parliamentary level. If it affects our village it affects all of us. Call me on 07942 947089 or use the email link below to write.
