General Election, South Northamptonshire, June 2017 – Conservative Candidate Statement

Whichever way you voted at the EU Referendum last year, I hope you will agree that Theresa May should be given the best possible chance to make a success of Brexit. That is why it is important that South Northamptonshire – and the country – backs the Prime Minister in this election.

By voting Conservative, you will also allow me to continue my work on behalf of all the people of South Northamptonshire. Since becoming your MP in 2010, I’ve worked tirelessly to represent you locally and in Parliament, listening and responding to thousands of your letters and emails, as well as meeting many of you at my advice surgeries and on the doorstep.

I am proud to have been able to make progress on a wide range of your priorities from securing effective compensation and mitigation for those affected by HS2, to working with developers and the Department of Transport on bringing forward the delivery of the Towcester Relief Road, and representing the strong views of many on the proposed Strategic Rail Freight projects.

Among my other work on your behalf, I continue to campaign for better local medical services, including at the Horton Hospital, as well as bringing communities together by supporting a network of community-led coffee mornings and youth projects.

The choice couldn’t be clearer: Theresa May supported by a strong and effective local MP, or a coalition of chaos led by Jeremy Corbyn that would put our nation’s future at risk.

I hope that you will be able to support me and Theresa May on Thursday 8th June.

With many thanks and best wishes,

Andrea Leadsom – Your Conservative Party Candidate for South Northants
