The Millennium Memorial Hall is a pleasant, bright, modern building with every facility for social occasions, such as weddings and parties, presentations, events and meetings.
There are two main halls, one large and one smaller, as well as the Astrop and Sutton rooms
All facilities are used regularly by village organisations, and can be hired for special occasions. For any enquiries please use the Contact Form on this page or telephone our Hall Manager on 01295 814971.
History and Who We Are...
The original village hall was opened in 1961 as the Kings Sutton Memorial Hall, but by the 1990s it was showing its age and plans were drawn up for a new hall. With the help of a Millennium Commission grant the new Millennium Memorial Hall was opened by Lord Heseltine CH, in 2001. The Hall is managed by a committee of Trustees some of whom are elected annually and some are nominated by a number of village organisations who are listed in our Trust Deed. The Hall was planned with medical services in mind and we currently have regular clinics run by the Brackley Health Centre.
The officers for 2015 are Bob Burrell (Chairman), Vallery Lee (Hon Secretary) and Peter Allen (Hon Treasurer). Bookings and day-to-day matters are looked after by our Hall Manager, Lindsay Walker. If you feel that you could contribute to the running of the Hall please contact the Chairman for a chat. We are always looking for volunteers.
The Committee are always looking for possible improvements to the Hall. A few years ago we added a storeroom to the Small Hall which makes the movement of chairs and tables easier and more flexible for all users. We have implemented air conditioning in the ground floor Halls. The possibility of installing solar panels is being considered.
