A-one+, a company that manages and maintains East Midlands trunk roads and motorways on behalf of the Highways Agency, has announced essential maintenance and improvement works to take place in November through January on the A43 between Ardley Roundabout where it joins junction 10 of the M40 and A43/A421 Barley Mow Roundabout. The company will carry out resurfacing works including renewal of road marks and cats' eyes and improvements of road signs, between November 21, 2011 and January 27, 2012.
The company says work between November 21 and December 11 will require a full road closure. To keep the disruption to a minimum, the site will operate at night time only (8pm to 6am). Work between December 11 and January 27 will require lane closures only. (This is with the exception of the Christmas period between December 21 and January 2, when no works or closures will take place.) While work is progressing, it will be necessary to close sections of the A43 between Ardley Roundabout (M40 junction 10) and Barley Mow Roundabout (A421) for the safety of the public and workforce. There will also be 50 mph and 40 mph temporary speed restrictions in operation during these works. Diversion routes will be clearly signed. Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times.
