The level of interest generated in the latest applications for new housing developments in King’s Sutton has been very high. Public participation at next Thursday’s meeting of the planning committee in the Millennium Memorial Hall’s first floor Astrop Room is therefore expected to be much greater than usual. The time of the meeting has consequently been brought forward to 18:30. (The planning committee has to finish its deliberations by 19:30, in time for the meeting of the full council.)
If you’re aiming to attend this meeting, please bear in mind that space is very limited in the Astrop Room. (None of the larger rooms in the hall is available at that time.)
Item 5.1 on the meeting’s agenda is consideration of application number S/2012/1348/FUL. (Click here for details.) This is a proposal for a residential development of eight houses on land to the rear of 40-48 Richmond Street. The planning committee must deliver a formal response to this application to South Northants Council almost immediately, so it will take priority.
Item 7 on the agenda is how to manage consideration of the proposal from Barwood Homes for a much larger residential development on land to the north of Hampton Drive – application number S/2012/1417/MAF. (Click here for details.) The planning committee anticipates that its formal response to this application can be delayed until January. This will give everyone with an interest in the Barwood Homes application ample time to have their views taken into account.
