A resident of Glebe Rise, King’s Sutton, was alarmed at 06:45 this morning to find someone else’s car parked in the driveway of her house. The lady in question was alerted to the presence of the car – thought to be a blue, M-registered Subaru Impreza – by the noise of its exhaust. Since her husband had left for work five minutes earlier, she pulled up the blind at the window to see what was going on. When she did so, the car drove off.
With the burglaries that took place in the area last Friday in mind, the householder asked her neighbours whether they had noticed anything suspicious that morning and was told the same car had been seen turning out of Glebe Rise into Astrop Road 45 minutes earlier at 06:00. It seems this car, which hadn’t been noticed in the area before, had been there in the early hours of the morning, had left, then returned and left again.
