Chiltern Railways has gradually eroded vital commuter services to King’s Sutton over the past decade and the company seems determined to keep steering passengers away from our station in other ways too. It is insisting, for example, that the proposed car park extension at the station should be built to a standard that will take its cost to a ludicrous (and unaffordable) level – over £200,000! And, despite promising in summer last year that we would soon have the opportunity to buy lower priced “Advance” tickets online, Chiltern has yet to introduce them for passengers at King’s Sutton station.
If you're concerned about the future of our village station and would like to see Chiltern Railways improve its services to our community and the surrounding area, here's your chance to get the company's attention: you can complete its online “stakeholder” survey. But you'll need to hurry – the survey is only open until 23:30 on Thursday April 30, so please do it now... It should take no more than 5-10 minutes.
