Do you support a 20mph speed limit alongside the entire length of the Rec? Take the survey!

The poll is now closed. Many thanks to everyone who took part.

At the end of last summer, following two road accidents involving children using the Play Park, the Parish Council asked Northamptonshire Highways to review the speed limit on three stretches of road in King’s Sutton:
  • Astrop Road along the length of the Rec
  • The Knob
  • Richmond Street from its junction with The Knob to the junction with Newlands

The Speed Review Panel declared in favour of a reduced limit of 20mph on The Knob and Richmond Street but NOT for Astrop Road because the latter “would require enforcement measures” – either some form of speed monitoring or changes to the road layout to force vehicles to slow down.

The Parish Council intends to appeal against the Speed Review Panel’s decision but it would be useful to know whether we have the support of King’s Sutton’s residents on this issue. Please answer the questions below if you have a view.
