Looking for a really rewarding way to give back to the local community? Volunteers are needed to help out at King’s Sutton’s highly successful (and fun) club for kids of secondary school age. The club runs at the Millennium Memorial Hall every Sunday during term time from 18:00 until 20:00. You can help out regularly or just occasionally – whenever fits in with your schedule.
Most volunteers at the club don’t need any qualifications. Anyone over 18 can get involved. You can join in activities with the kids if you like. Or if you prefer, just show up and keep an eye open while you enjoy a cup of tea and a biscuit. However, since the club’s long-standing chair and treasurer are departing for new projects in the summer, people with the ability to take on these roles would be especially welcome. (You wouldn’t necessarily need to be present at the club every Sunday to undertake these roles.)
To find out more, take a look at the club’s Facebook page and send a private message, call Kath Sharman on 07753 709579, or use the link below to send her an email.
