Road closures and traffic controls on the way for King’s Sutton in November, December and January
November 14th, 2017
Be prepared for three lots of traffic disruptions on King’s Sutton’s streets over the coming eight weeks:
Anglian Water is carrying out works outside number 2, The Square between 09:30 and 15:30 on Monday, November 20. Undertaking the works safely will require closure of the road between Astrop Road and Mill Lane for those six hours. For more information about the works, please call Simon Lambert on 01522 347891.
Northamptonshire County Council will be undertaking carriageway/pothole repairs at Upper Astrop Road on Thursday December 21. Temporary two-way signals will be in operation for the duration of the works.
Anglian Water is planning to install a new water connection outside the cemetery in Mill Lane, King’s Sutton. Work is set to start on Monday, January 8, 2018 and will require closure of the road for up to three days. For more information about the works, please call Lizzie Pink on 0800 137631.
For those whose journeys take them through Charlton, it’s worth adding that ultrafast broadband supplier Gigaclear is digging up roads throughout the village until mid-January and the works require use of temporary two-way signals, which may cause further delays.
A plan detailing all the works above and showing the recommended diversion route can be viewed here.
