King’s Sutton Parish Council has received a clean bill of health at its recent internal audit, which was conducted by a representative from the Northamptonshire County Association of Local Councils (NCALC). Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the audit was held remotely but it was nevertheless possible to examine all procedures.
Summarising his findings, NCALC’s auditor wrote:
“Standards of compliance, both with regulatory requirements and the proper practices, remain high at this council and I am pleased to say that I identified no audit issues that I need to draw to the council’s attention.”
Councillor Ronnie Irving, chairman of the Finance, Governance and Policy Committee, comments: “This report is testament to the hard work and due diligence shown by the parish council, our Clerk and the responsible financial officer.”
