This Thursday evening: an online meeting for potential Parish Council election candidates

March 16th, 2021

On May 6 this year, elections will be held for King’s Sutton Parish Council as well as the new unitary authority, West Northamptonshire Council. The deadline for submission of candidate nomination forms for both council elections is 16:00 on April 8.

Why not become a Parish Councillor?

As a councillor representing your community, you could help keep King’s Sutton a great place to live and work. You would be supported in your role with excellent training. The main requirements of the role are:

  • You should be comfortable working electronically.
  • You should have a positive outlook and a can-do attitude, and be willing to work as part of a team.
  • You must be over 18 years old and have lived or worked in the parish for over one year.

If you are interested in learning how to become a Parish Councillor, there is a Zoom meeting this Thursday March 18, 19:30-18:30. (Link below.) Several current parish councillors and the parish clerk will be online for that hour to answer questions and explain the nomination process.

Call the Parish Clerk on 01295 816905 (or use the email link below) for more information.
