Over 70% of the 472 King’s Sutton residents who responded to last year’s village survey said they think speeding vehicles are a problem in the village. The Community Speed Watch programme organised by Northamptonshire Police aims to tackle that problem. However, King’s Sutton cannot participate in the programme without a local co-ordinator and some more volunteers.
The only commitment required from volunteers is to spend a few hours training with the Police and then just a couple of hours once or twice a year using handheld radar guns to track vehicle speeds in the village.
If you’d like to join in with this potentially life-saving, village-wide effort, please get in touch with the Parish Clerk using the contact details on this web page.
