King’s Sutton kids who were wondering what to do with themselves during those long, tedious days of the summer holiday should check out South Northamptonshire Council’s Summer SPLAT programme. Available to view/download here, this Summer’s SPLAT programme is packed full of Sports, Play, Leisure and ArTs activities for young people aged five to 16.

The Village Games make a return this year, offering a variety of sporting activities for children in 32 of the district’s villages for only £4 or £10 for three children. Also on offer is a range of sports camps, a song-writing and dance week, circus skills and the opportunity to get creative with photography and animation, or by designing Funky Frames or Felt Pictures made with coloured sheep’s wool.
This year also sees the return of a trip to Pitsford Water and the introduction of an exciting new trip to Grendon Hall, with the opportunity to try quad biking before tackling the swamp ropes course.
SPLAT activities start on Monday July 23 and run for six weeks.
