SS Peter and Paul forms backdrop for part of fascinating film on role of chance and mysteries of probability
King’s Sutton residents watching BBC Four last Thursday evening may have noticed a familiar sight during the broadcast of “Tails You Win: The Science of Chance,” an investigation by Professor David Spiegelhalter into the role of chance in our everday lives. In this intriguing film, Professor Spiegelhalter uses the gravestones and statuary of our parish church to illustrate the history behind scientists’ attempts to explain chance and probability.
